Roof Installation Day: Step-by-Step Process
We want your residential roof installation in Houston or anywhere in Texas to be smooth and predictable.
Here’s what to expect on roof installation day:
Roofing materials are delivered on the morning of your scheduled install date.
Please ensure your driveway is clear so the materials can be unloaded.
Your Newfield Roofing representative will be on-site before materials arrive to verify that the correct products were delivered.
The roofing crew will arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
The crew will first walk around your home and cover plants, landscaping, and patio furniture. If you have a pool, we will cover that as well.
Your Newfield rep will meet with the crew foreman to review any last-minute details before the tear-off begins.
First they will tear-off of the existing shingles begins.
The crew inspects the roof decking to ensure there are no rotten or damaged areas that need to be replaced.
Installation of your new asphalt shingle roofing system begins, following manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
Your Newfield Roofing representative will stay in contact with you throughout the day with progress updates and the expected completion time.
After the crew finishes installing the new roof, they begin a thorough cleanup, including:
Picking up all roofing debris and trash from the tear-off and installation
Walking the property with a magnetic sweeper to collect any nails that may have fallen
As a final step, your Newfield Roofing representative will walk around your home with you, answer any questions, and review the completed roof installation.
Once you are fully satisfied with your new roof, we will finalize the project and accept payment.
